Our Top Induction Cookware Set Reviews:

Chef’s Star Premium Pots And Pans Set

p1
To start off our review list, we have the Chef’s Star Premium Pots And Pans Set. This is a very great set of cookware to start our review list off with for quite a few reasons.

First off, if you are looking for a set to stock your kitchen with, then this is a great option. The Chef’s Star Premium Pots And Pans Set comes with 17 pieces. The set is extremely varied and there are even some helpful extras like steamer baskets and utensils. So, if you have a kitchen that is in desperate need of a lot of cookware, then you can’t go wrong with the Chef’s Star set.

The cookware is also very tough and efficient. It can withstand temperatures nearing 600 degrees Fahrenheit, making it great for use in the oven. It can also be tossed in the dishwasher for easier cleaning if you don’t fancy scrubbing the cookware yourself.

The cookware in this set also does a great job of distributing heat. There are no hotspots to deal with and the cookware heats up very quickly so you can spend less time over the stove.

Pros
  • Oven safe up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Large, varied set with 17 pieces.
  • Contains useful items like steamer baskets and utensils.
  • Heats up efficiently.
Cons
  • Fairly pricey.

Magma Products, A10-360L-IND, 10 Piece Gourmet Nesting Stainless Steel Cookware Set

p2
The next review item on our list is going to be the Magma Products, A10-360L-IND, 10 Piece Gourmet Nesting Stainless Steel Cookware Set. While not really mentioned in the name, this is a bit of a specialty cookware set. While you can certainly use it in your home, this cookware set is designed primarily for use in small areas where space is at a premium, like in RVs.

See, the cookware is designed to be smaller than usual. Likewise, it has this pretty unique storage system. Basically, each piece of cookware is designed to fit in one of the larger pieces of cookware.

The idea is that you store each piece inside of a larger piece, and then keeping going until everything is inside of the largest piece of cookware. It works well and it helps you to keep most of your cupboard space free. It has a bungee cord included with the cookware so that the pots and pans don’t fall apart when you hit a bump or something like that.

The actual cookware itself isn’t badly designed at all, which is a part of the reason why this set is on our list to begin with. The cookware is very solid and it distributes heat well, which is pretty much all that you can really ask for from a cookware set.

Pros
  • Smaller; designed for use in compact areas like RVs and boats.
  • Bungee cord for more secure storage.
  • All the cookware can be stored inside each other for easier storage.
  • Oven and dishwasher safe.
  • Very high-quality stainless steel bottoms for superior heat distribution.
Cons
  • Not a very large set.
  • Bad for kitchens.

Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set

p3
Moving on, we have what is, in our opinion, the overall best cookware set on this list. It will be no surprise to those of you familiar with kitchen cookware that this set comes from Cuisinart. They make so many great kitchen products, so it isn’t a surprise that the Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set is our choice for the best overall set of cookware.

There are a lot of really good features that we could mention when it comes to this cookware set. So many, in fact, that it is hard to know where to start. So, why don’t we start the review by talking about the different sizes that this cookware set comes in.

We are reviewing the largest set, which consists of 12 pieces, but there are two other set sizes to pick from. Having more choice is always good and you can pick the cookware set that works best for you.

The cookware is exceptionally well-designed. It uses what is called “triple ply” construction. What that means is essentially that the cookware is designed with three layers. The layers that you see are made from stainless steel.

This is good because the steel provides the durability that you want from your cookware. The layer that you don’t see (it is sandwiched in between the two layers of steel) is made using aluminum. Aluminum is an amazing conductor of electricity (better than steel) and so it helps to make sure that the cookware works even better on your induction cooktop.

This is a very durable, well-built set of cookware. We already mentioned the stainless steel construction, but it can also withstand high temperatures with relative ease. You can stick any piece of cookware from this set into an oven and set it as high as 600 degrees Fahrenheit and it will be fine.

Hopefully, you can now see why this is the top induction cookware set that we have reviewed so far.

Pros
  • Sleek, polished cooking surface.
  • Cookware handles always stay very cool to the touch.
  • Can easily withstand high temperatures.
  • Can choose from three different sets, each with a unique purpose.
  • Triple ply construction ensures extremely even heat distribution.
Cons
  • Requires manual lubrication; otherwise, the food will stick.

Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set

p4
For this next review, we are looking at the first nonstick cookware set on our  list. We understand that people can have mixed opinions when it comes to nonstick cookware. Some prefer to lube up their cookware on their own, while others prefer having a built-in nonstick coating.

The Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set is definitely geared towards the latter. This is a very good set of nonstick, induction cookware.

One of the biggest complaints centered around nonstick cookware is that the nonstick coating doesn’t last. While this is an issue, especially with lower-quality cookware sets, it isn’t an issue with the Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set.

This set of induction cookware uses a very well-made nonstick coating. Not only is it free of all potentially toxic elements, but it is also designed to last for decades. You do have to be careful when cleaning it, otherwise, you might damage the coating and make the cookware a lot less useful.

When it comes to conducting and distributing heat, the Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set does very well. Each piece of cookware heats up very efficiently and quickly. Likewise, the heat is always distributed evenly and there are rarely, if ever, hotspots to deal with.

In terms of how convenient the cookware is to use, there isn’t anything to write home about, but it is still decent cookware. You can stick it in an oven up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and it has silicone handles to prevent you from ever burning your hand.

Pros
  • Oven safe up to around 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Hardened aluminum construction makes it a great option for induction cooking.
  • Comes in three different sets.
  • Nonstick coating lasts for a very long time compared to other nonstick coatings.
Cons
  • Must be careful when cleaning to avoid damaging nonstick coating.

ELO Premium Black Pearl Stainless Steel Kitchen Induction Cookware Pots and Pans Set

p5
For this last review item on our list, we have a really special treat for you in the form of the ELO Premium Black Pearl Stainless Steel Kitchen Induction Cookware Pots and Pans Set. This is an extremely high-quality set of cookware that also happens to carry a pretty hefty price tag.

This is a big part of why we saved it for last because we understand that the price will probably make it a very unattractive option to many of you. However, those of you willing to look past the price will be getting a really great set of induction cookware.

First off, this cookware is from Germany. If you are familiar with anything German-made, then you know how just well-made their products tend to be. It doesn’t matter whether it is cars or cookware, German engineering can usually be relied on.

This is the case with this set of cookware. It uses very strong, reliable German engineering. The exterior of the pot is made of solid stainless steel, but the inside is crafted with different material to ensure superior heat distribution.

The cookware in this set is also very easy to use, as you might expect. The lids are designed to make pouring easier; so, if you have hot liquid inside the cookware, don’t worry it will drain very easily.

Likewise, the handles on both the lid and the sides of the cookware are made with this really comfortable nylon material that doesn’t get hot, even if you leave it over a burning stovetop.
Obviously, this cookware isn’t perfect. There is the price issue that we mentioned in the introduction.

There is also the issue of size. This cookware set only comes in one size, which is 7 pieces. This is very small and makes it hard to stock a kitchen with the cookware. Furthermore, given the price of the set, it would have been nice to get a bit more bang for your buck.

Pros
  • Extremely high-quality, German engineering.
  • Designed to evenly distribute heat.
  • Lids that are designed to make pouring out liquid very simple.
  • Solid stainless steel construction.
Cons
  • Most expensive entry on this list.
  • Only comes in small, 7-piece set.

Induction Cookware Buying Guide

Best Induction Cookware

If you haven’t already chosen a product from our list, then you may still need to be sold on the benefits of induction cookware.

In this second part of our article, we are going to do just that by going into depth on the various benefits of induction cookware when compared to regular (or classic) cookware.

Even though induction cookware isn’t “new” by any stretch of the imagination, most people still use classic cookware and so they may not be familiar with the advantages of induction cooking.

How Induction Cooking Works

To best understand how induction cooking works, we first have to look at how other cookware works. See, regular cookware simply receives heat that is distributed by your stovetop. Both electric and gas stovetops work by heating the air directly above the stovetop.

This works well, but it is also inefficient because heat isn’t just being distributed to the cookware, it is also being distributed to all the air around the cookware as well.

So, what does induction cooking do differently? Well, as was mentioned a few times on our review, induction cookware makes use of electrical fields and currents to produce heat. All induction cookware contains a special copper wire inside it.

When the copper wire gets close to an induction cooktop, an invisible current is passed from the cooktop through the wire. This is referred to as an “eddy current.” The current is so powerful that it is actually capable of heating up the cookware.

Now, non-specialized cookware can work with the best induction cooktops, but the material that the cookware is made out of has to be a good conductor of electricity. Stainless steel cookware tends to be a pretty good option for induction cooking.

Likewise, aluminum cookware is probably the best overall option for induction cooking (hence why so many of the sets that were reviewed on this list were made with it). On the other hand, cast iron is generally not a great option for induction cooktops and you could easily end up with uneven cooking if you try to use your cast iron pan on an induction stovetop.

Benefits Of Induction Cookware And Cooking

Alright, so now that you have an understanding of how induction cooking works, what exactly are the benefits of it? There are quite a few that are worth mentioning.

Safety

Probably the biggest thing that attracts people to induction cooking is how much safer it is compared to regular cooking. We mentioned this a few times on our review, but we will mention it again.

Induction cooktops are completely safe to the touch. You can turn it all the way up to high and put your hand directly on the cooktop and nothing will happen. Why? Well, your body isn’t capable of conducting the electricity produced by the induction cooktop.

So, you don’t have to worry about you, or anyone else in the house, burning themselves on a cooktop that has been left on. Likewise, you never have to worry about anything catching on fire because you left it too close to the burner. Of course, the cookware itself can still get hot, so don’t touch the pots or pans when on the cooktop.

Easy Cleanup

Induction cookware and induction cooking in general makes your life a lot easier when it comes to cleaning up after you have made your food. See, with regular cookware, a lot of residual heat is left in the cookware, which burns whatever is left on the cookware.

This is obviously not very easy to clean up. Likewise, any food that spills out of the pan can get burned because of the residual heat from the cookware and the cooktop. All-in-all, cooking using these cookware sets just leads to an simpler overall cleaning experience.

Energy Efficiency

Another really key reason why people invest in induction cookware is that it ends up being a lot more energy-efficient. See, with regular cookware, a lot of the energy is wasted heating the area around the cookware, instead of the cookware itself.

While this probably doesn’t have too much of an impact on your energy bill, it is still really annoying that so much power is being wasted. It also wastes your time because it takes longer for the cookware to heat up.

Induction cookware is just so much more efficient both when it comes to energy and saving you time.
